Due to many years of professional and management experience in renowned and international brand companies in the consumer electronics, telecommunications, information technology, small & major domestic industry, as well as in the whole sale, retail & online trade, I also came into contact with several consulting companies that had the task of optimizing the business processes (e.g. sales, marketing, sourcing, product management, purchase & peripheral functions).
Some of the tutors used theoretical constructs that sounded great, but rarely met the actual requirements and were sometimes not understood by the staff. On the one hand, this was due to the lack of practical experience of some consultants and, on the other hand, the lack of motivation of employees to open up new approaches. As a result, the positive effects were marginal and the high costs of the advice could not be justified.
There is always a need for optimization. Only the unique DNA of each company has to be taken into account and understood. Employees must be involved in the necessary measures, motivated and understand that the changes sustainably support the long-term positive development of the business activity.
